Cancer Season and the Eclipses

On the 21st of June, the Sun entered Cancer and the new season has officially begun. This year’s Cancer season will be very intense, starting with a total Solar eclipse at 11 degrees of Cancer taking place on the 2nd of July and then later, on the 16th of the same month, there will be a lunar eclipse at 25 degrees of Capricorn.

This means that July will be a very important and challenging month for all of us. Both eclipses (solar and lunar) will take place in cardinal signs (Cancer and Capricorn). On top of that Mercury will go retrograde on the 8th of July, indicating delays, frustrations, and confusion concerning transport, short trips, communication of all sorts (email, letters, text messages), computer problems and so on.

Moreover, the Sun and Saturn conjunction may indicate financial problems. Aries, Libra and Capricorn people may feel most overwhelmed with emotions of the unfolding events and the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) will deal with this energy most effectively.

Nevertheless, regardless of your zodiac sign, this is a great time to see if there is anybody in your environment with whom you could establish a closer relationship. Venus will remain in Gemini, and since the Sun has moved to Cancer instead of focusing on superficial relationships, we will want to put more attention into valuable friendships, partnerships, and family relationships.

The solar eclipse indicates a new beginning. Its energy can be felt 6 months before or after the actual event. Its effects can be felt up to a year after. This is a time of new sensations, new opportunities in love friendships or the work department. Take advantage of these opportunities that arise, because they might not last long and if you do not use them wisely they will disappear.
